A road block on the sale of Lumia 900 Windows phone has been set up by the German T-Mobile company. Its decision to not stock the phone is assumed to be due to its incapability of delivering quality to the user experience. Nokia has already experienced customer wrath by Lumia 900 users in other countries for denying them an upgrade to the latest mobile operating system.
Digging in deep in a personal interview the inside source confirmed that phone’s incompatibility to upgrade to the upcoming OS versions is the prime reason. The stand of the mobile company is much appreciated. T-Mobile’s bold step to opt out of the sale of the Lumia 900 in Germany defines the customer centric approach that other carriers have to keep in mind while designing the phone.
Kudos to T-Mobile for the admirable stand..!!

Nokia and Microsoft are covering the fact under the news that assures of a version of Angry Birds specifically optimized for Windows Phone Tango’s 256 MB RAM. Editor-in-chief, Heidi Lemmetyinen of Nokia Conversations blog said:
While the app is not available as yet, we are positive to announce the release date soon.

Lumia is keeping everybody on the toes with the latest news each day. Custom Rom has been devised for the Lumia 800, much like Lumia 710 on the XDA forums – RainbowMod. Available in English and Russian language, this custom mod is built on Windows Phone “Tango” based on the Chinese firmware. The only major requirement being the Qualcomm boot loader configured on the devices.

This summer we see the Limited edition of Batman Lumia 900 phones in the market to keep you on the toes. Out of the 40 pieces of the Batman themed phones created, it is difficult to guess who gets lucky with one in hand.
With the Batman logo etched on the back, this phone is definite boost to the sales on the concept of “The Dark Night Rises”. Prices for the phone have not been ascertained till date. Phones4u confirms getting a batch while AT&T has not shared their version on the purchase.

Lumia 610 users are not in great mood after Skype revoked its support to the device. Skype recently announced that the app would not be available on Windows phones with 256 MB RAM. Nokia has therefore removed Skype from the marketplace.
Nokia China states:
“Nokia values the user experience provided by its products and services. Therefore, although the Skype Windows Phone version is workable on Nokia Lumia 610, after in-depth testing, we found that the user experience is not up to par with Nokia and Skype’s expectation and decided not recommending users using Skype on Nokia Lumia 610. In the future, users of Nokia Lumia 610 would no longer be able to download Skype Windows Phone version from Window Phone Marketplace. However, Skype Windows Phone version would still be available for other users.”
This entire hullabaloo a day after the launch in Denmark is not a good sign for Lumia 610!!
We have already heard the news of Lumia 900 seeing supply crunch in the market. Following the footsteps are the Titan and Titan II which have gone out of stock online. The reason for which is yet to be unraveled.
The most obvious reason for Titan becoming unavailable can be the new Titan II. AT&T would have been happy to see Titan II take over Titan. However, the news suggests that Titan II is also unavailable at the moment. The phone hasn’t been doing a marvelous job and has been sold in market before HTC could not keep up in the pace of production.
This makes us wonder to find the real cause for the non-availability.
The only ray of hope is the Amazon Wireless where Titan II is still available for $149.99 price!!
The Lumia series has been an instant success for Nokia. And we must admit that the Metro UI is the icing on the cake.

When Samsung unveiled the Focus 2 at the CTIA, the long awaited “Mandel” saw light again. Only to be released a couple of weeks later on AT&T.
The Focus 2 packs a 1.4GHz single-core CPU, 4 inch 480×800 WVGA Super AMOLED, 5 megapixel camera and a 1750mAH batter. But sadly, the phone is available only in Glossy pure white. Another drawback is that the phone packs only 8GB of non expandable memory.
The Focus 2 is an alternative to those at AT&T who want Mango and LTE both, as Lumia 800 does not have LTE. But for $49.99, we don’t feel the specs are a deal breaker.
Well, until the news is confirmed, let us tell you the rumor that Apollo is being tested on Lumia 800. We have been listening that the Lumia 610 was testing Apollo. We are not entirely convinced until of both the news; but to be informed of any updates on the topic is interesting.
The test revealed some noticeable improvements including speed / touch responsiveness, folders, refurbished Internet Explorer and gravity sensing. With this revelation, the debate over the 1 or 1.5 Windows Phone being able to receive the “Apollo” update has again heated up.
The acclaimed test version of “Apollo” also claims VPN support- which is reported to be disabled on the final build. Better management of the data with the inclusion of the folders is an added functionality.
Let’s hope all that is claimed in the rumor turns true…!!
Did you ever think the sales of the phone would vary depending on the color?
A quick answer would be probably a “NO”. You are mistaken, sirs and madams.
We have reports that the color has caught the eyes of handful people who would buy the phone if available only in “Cyan-blue”!!!!
Nokia cannot to afford to lose the sale for color. Therefore Nokia is managing to restock the stores with Cyan Nokia Lumia 900. This popular color of the LTE handsets seem to have been ordered in smaller numbers and thus, the Black version has arrived back on AT&T virtual shelves – in case the HOT color is still not available in stock.
This could turn to be a lose/win situation for Nokia; only if the demand and supply ratio is balanced- while there is time!!!
