HTC’s decision to use BREW rather than Windows Mobile or Android on its Smart left quite a few individuals scratching their heads – the hardware requirements aren’t that different after all.

At an event, I asked just that – and was given a death stare from the attending QualComm manager and a response from HTC’s Peter Chou. He claimed that Windows Mobile is too difficult to use for beginners…
