Quite a few of you are likely to know ViewSonic for its screens – they are pretty common all over Europe. However, the manufacturer has just started to venture into the mobile space…the V901 is pictured below:

Engadget managed to navigate their Chinese web site, and claims the following specs:

…3.6-inch, 480 x 800 touchscreen, a Marvell PXA310 processor, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM storage with microSD expansion, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, all hailing to the wavelengths we call CDMA EV-DO Rev. A. Launch is Q4 2009, …

Of course, all of these is of diminishing importance for all of our non-Chinese readers as the box is unlikely to hit any areas outside of mainland China – but its always good to see another hardware manufacturer step up…
