So far, quite a few Windows Mobile 6.5 devices have been pictured: we saw the Touch Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2 and GSmart’s 1204…but it looks like there will be quite a few more when Windows Mobile 6.5 hits the USA.
Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft’s devices division, is quoted as following by eWeek:
“We will have over 10 phones available in the U.S. alone. We expect to see that grow,”
As of now, nobody knows if all of these will be new devices, or if some of them will be devices we already know which receive a ROM update. Microsoft has recently admitted that all devices with a 400MhZ CPU can theoretically be upgraded…which opens the market for a plethora of possible upgrading combinations.
P.S. All I can reveal as of this writing: there will likely be a WMS (aka non-touchscreen device) in the mix.
