So far, neither Quallcomm nor Toshiba have been too popular among PocketPC freaks – while the first are universally hated fir driver, performance and patent issues, the latter are still well-remembered for refusing to release a key upgrade for their then-high-end e740 device.

Their latest attempt to enter the market is called TG01, and is pictured below:

As of now, details or specs are still scarce as the machine’s launch has happened literally minutes ago. Nevertheless, the device is said to be based on a 1GhZ Snapdragon chip which will be “significantly faster than anything else on the market”. It will have a “wide VGA” display, runs Windows Mobile 6.1 (don’t hold your breath for a 6.5 update) and will have a custom 3D GUI from Toshiba.
