February’s Mobile World Congress expo (held in Barcelona) is rumored to bring various announcements from the Redmond-based company. All of this is rumored, of course – but read on for the full scoop:
WM 6.5 to drop – with finger-friendly GUI
This one comes via NeoWin, and sounds pretty promising:
Today, we’re hearing that Microsoft will be unveiling their Windows Mobile 6.5 OS at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. There’s also talk of those previously leaked WinMo6.5 screenshots actually being legitimate WM6.5 concept screenshots. It’s unclear whether the conceptual UI seen in the screenshots (above) has made the cut as Windows Mobile 6.5’s UI, but we’ve got our fingers crossed.
App store to be called SkyMarket
Furthermore, an application store called SkyMarket is expected. As of now, nobody knows anything more about it – but I hope that it will shake the ESD market up heavily.
