XPERIA X1 stock clarification from Hutchison AustriaJust in case anyone of you wonders what became of the XPERIA X1′s scheduled to drop at Hutchison’s – I now have an official statement on their fate (translated by yours truly):

The supply we received initially was known to be short right from the start. However, you and your readers should hang in – a huge-a$$ crate of X1s is expected to quench demand shortly.

While the honesty of Hutchison is very cool (they generally are a nice carrier), the implications are terrible for Sony Ericsson. Some years ago, the brand was known for insane logistics problems…a situation which seems to have been addressed since then.

The highly aggressive peddling of the X1 could have led to too high demand, of course…but it’s definitely not a good sign for Sony Ericsson IMHO!
