Basilius Kathedrale In Moscow, Omnia is called WiTu and is peddled by SPB

Russia can be considered one of the few markets largely unaffected by the US sub-prime crisis…which makes investments there even more interesting (if you can speak Russian).

Samsung has apparently figured this out somehow, and decided to gang up with SPB Software. The announcement comes in the form of the adoption of GPS Monitor – but I am almost 100% sure that there is more to this than what we see on the first glance (knowing that SPB has excellent carrier connections):

St. Petersburg, December 04th, 2008 – Spb Software, world’s leading Windows Mobile software developer is proud to announce that Spb GPRS Monitor is shipped in Samsung WiTu – a version of Samsung i900 (globally known as Omnia), specially customized for the Russian market. Spb GPRS Monitor (now Spb Wireless Monitor) is a software tool that measures incoming and outgoing data traffic and calculates network usage costs, according to configurable data plans.
