HTC’s Touch Viva is the entry-level TouchFLO device. Its rather mediocre specs didn’t raise any heads as the device was announced a few weeks ago.

HTC quickly stated that the device would not hit Europe (at least, not the UK) – it is said to be targeted at emerging markets. And indeed, the first emerging market now got its share:

The device will be available in a storm grey colour through all the major retailers from this month onwards at an estimated end user price of AED 1299 (USD 354) starting with the United Arab Emirates.

Don’t ask me – but I personally don’t think that Dubai is the right market for this box. Most people in Dubai are extremely rich…and probably would prefer the Touch HD.
