When the HTC Touch 3G was released, many wondered if the device would support the TouchFLO 3D user interface which debuted on the Touch Diamond. Unfortunately, the boys at HTC’s restricted the 3D version of their custom GUI to the Diamond, Pro and HD – but the version found on the Touch 3G still has been expanded significantly.

As usual, the folks at xda-developers managed to extract the program; and found out that it works well on older HTC devices like an AT&T Tilt or an original Touch. The files can be found in this post

PocketNow.com has a lovely video showing “TouchFLO 2D” (which is not an official HTC name) in action on the aforementioned AT&T Tilt. Hit this link if your web browser supports Flash…

P.S. As of now, nobody knows if the program will also work on non-HTC devices. Anyone willing to give it a pop and let us know?
