MobilityToday got their hands onto a 6 minute clip showing Fox Business’s coverage of Windows Mobile. The main topic was that the iPhone is not the only touchscreen device currently available on the US market.

Microsoft’s Scott Rockfeld came on the show and demoed a few phones (not currently available in the USA) – the following points were particularly interesting for me:

  • more than one million Diamond’s sold since June(fastest-selling HTC device ever)
  • one million Motorola Q’s and Samsung BlackJack’s sold
  • two million HTC Touch’s sold
  • People dislike the iPhone 3G’s on-screen keyboard (understandable)
  • HTC’s CEO is said to be a perfectionist
  • 18 million WM licences sold last years => perception problems in the press
  • 20 mio BlackBerry’s sold by end of 2008
