TELUS, the biggest Canadian carrier, has just informed the analyst community about the upcoming release of its version of the HTC Touch Diamond. They claim to be the “first North American carrier”…which means that all other releases will have to wait at least another week.

As TELUS is a CDMA carrier, we are looking at the first release of the often-rumored CDMA version of the Diamond. Specs-wise, the machine will be very similar to the GSM version…say hello to 4GB of internal memory instead of an SD card.

The machine will cost 150$(likely Canadian dollars) with a three-year contract - people wanting to purchase it unlocked can expect to be set back by about 450c$…
