The German telefon-treff.de forum has been extremely active when it comes to rumors - an user recently managed to get his claws onto a 16GB MicroSD card. He immediately popped it into an i780 - here goes:
While no information on shipment dates is available as of now(and on how much this thing will cost when it drops), it’s good to know that 2 and 4GB memory card prices will drop a lot in the near future…and…well..we now know about yet another way to waste excess money…
P.S. In case anyone of you has the same thoughts I have…yes; it looks like we are looking at one of the first ITW-photos of the i780 we wrote about a few days ago. It does have a touchscreen after all…
Can we buy the 16 GB already in Germany? What is the price? If not, what about 12 GB cards? Will they run in a HTC Kaiser?
BTW, are these cards SD or SDHC ones?

as far as I know, neither 12 nor 16GB cards are available in Germany as of now.
As for the 12GB cards…it is very probable that they will never ever see the light of day…they IMHO were a tech demo more than anything else…

thanks informed tech! i was wonder about the 16GB micro cards, have these begun to ship worldwide yet?, or just in asia?…. i hope that by summer08 availability will be strong enough that the price will be $250 or less, since i was able to get an 8GB for less than $65 in winter08

I cant find anywhere that does or talks about this MicroSD card 16gb or the 8gb they are all SDHC which i have read dont fit/work in the i900 as its SD only, could anyone please corrrect me if im wrong as im getting this phone and would like to be able to get the larger memory if possible, thanks
